Azi Flowers, founded by Azeb Woldie in Sept. 2022, is blooming in more ways than one. This flower shop and local favorite recently relocated to a new, more accessible storefront at 3045 Columbia Pike in Arlington, setting the stage for continued growth and deeper connections with the community.
Azi Flowers is known for creating personalized floral arrangements that meet the needs of individuals, families and corporate clients all while providing exceptional customer service and unique designs for all occasions.
Azeb, a local entrepreneur with a background in art and technology, has worked hard to build her business from the ground up. She draws inspiration from Arlington’s vibrant community, channeling her passion for creativity into meaningful floral designs.
According to Azeb, “Flowers are nature’s way of smiling at you.” This sentiment underscores her belief in the emotional impact of her craft.
Recognizing Azeb’s passion and business potential, BizLaunch, Arlington’s small business division, supported the Azi Flowers expansion. With BizLaunch’s support, Azeb refined her business plan and found the perfect location to grow her shop. Azi Flowers is also expanding its impact with the launch of Azi Floral Design Courses on Dec. 7, 2024, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. This exciting new initiative invites community members to learn the art of floral design, combining creative techniques with practical business knowledge. Participants will gain valuable skills to supplement their income or even start their own small flower businesses. Azeb envisions this program as a way to foster creativity, opportunity and empowerment, especially for women and youth in Arlington.
“This program is about more than just flowers — it’s about building a stronger, more connected community,” Azeb said.
To make this vision a reality, Azeb is calling on local businesses, leaders and organizations to lend their support. The December launch event will provide attendees with a chance to learn more about the program, connect with one another and celebrate the power of collaboration.
