Rosslyn Jazz Fest 2026

Jazz is back for the 34th Annual Rosslyn Jazz Fest! Rosslyn Jazz Fest is FREE and registration is not required, but strongly encouraged, as there are capacity limits at Gateway Park. Join us at Gateway Park for an afternoon of music, food trucks, yard games, community table experiences, and tons of fun!

5:30pm Plena Libre

Plena Libre combines the traditional Plena and Bomba rhythms with other Afro-Caribbean styles and jazz to create a contagious dance music that honors the group's deep sense of the unique indigenous musical traditions, while embracing modern sounds. With mesmerizing hand drumming, raucous horns, and soaring three-part vocal harmonies, this multi-Grammy Award-nominated band always brings the heat.

Featuring three vocalists singing in lush three-part harmonies – with an aggressive, tight, yet sensitive style, which balances the traditional with the contemporary, the global and the local – Plena Libre creates a brand of music and live performance that captivates the multi-cultured audience, invites to dance and to listen to their sound. They are Artist-in-Residence at the University of Chicago as they are recipients of the prestigious Don Michael Randel Award.

3:45pm Sally Baby's Silver Dollars

Originally from New Orleans, the former underground seven-piece band led by singer and songwriter Sal Geloso have gained national notice since their 2026 featured performance on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert.

The band blends traditional New Orleans jazz, soul, and roots music, to create a fresh new sound and high energy shows. Since their early days busking on the streets of New Orleans, they are now playing major festivals including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Shakori Hills Roots Festival, and the Savannah Folk Festival.

2:20pm Parlor Greens

Parlor Greens is a modern instrumental organ trio that channels the deep grooves of classic soul-jazz while pushing the sound into new territory for today's audiences. Featuring Jimmy James on guitar, Tim Carman on drums, and Adam Scone on organ, the group crafts tightly arranged, song-forward instrumentals rooted in blues, funk, and R&B traditions.

Parlor Greens has performed at such esteemed festivals as Newport Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Fuji Rock, Telluride Jazz Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, Portland Jazz Festival, Aspen Jazz Festival, Jam Cruise, and Hulaween, as well as headlining shows across the US, Europe, the UK, and Japan since the release of their debut album.

1:00pm Dogo du Togo & The Alagaa Beat Band

Emerging from Lomé, Togo, Dogo du Togo & The Alagaa Beat Band is a collective of top Togolese musicians led by Massama Dogo, aka Dogo du Togo, who are putting Togolese music on the map by blending psychedelic rock and afrobeat into a genre-defying sound Dogo calls the "Alagaa Beat."

Combining Togolese festive and ritual rhythms, hypnotic voodoo melodies, and lyrics that speak to a new generation of young Africans with a message that resonates globally, Dogo du Togo & The Alagaa Beat Band embodies the heart and soul of modern Togo in its music.

The Alagaa beat (Alagaa means trance in Ewe) and Dogo's melodies are anchored in Togo's rich cultural history, based on traditional rhythms and unique pentatonic scales known as Mina or Mami, derived from the music of the local Vodún religion and traditions that permeate everyday life in Togo.
