May 13, 2020 | By Conor Courtney
With over 9,000 cybersecurity jobs and a qualified candidate supply of over 14,000, the Washington-Arlington-Alexandria metropolitan area remains the nation's top location for cybersecurity professionals and companies. In response to the increasing regional demand for qualified cyber professionals, George Mason University recently announced a new Cyber Security Engineering Program, the first of its kind in the country. The program launched on March 1 and expects 500 undergraduate students in its existing school of engineering to participate in the new program.
