“Boeing has been a key partner in Arlington’s business community for more than a decade, and we enthusiastically welcome the company’s corporate headquarters to our community,” said Arlington County Board Chair Katie Cristol. “Arlington’s proximity to Boeing’s federal customers, as well as our shared commitment to making Crystal City a welcoming destination for employees, residents and visitors, were key in Boeing’s decision to expand its capacity here. We are proud to be the new home for Boeing’s global HQ.”

Boeing opened its current location in Arlington's National Landing neighborhood in 2014 and currently employs approximately 2000 employees at that location. In addition to designating Northern Virginia as its new global home, Boeing plans to develop a research and technology hub in the area to harness and attract engineering and technical capabilities.

“Boeing has been a leader in innovation and corporate citizenship in Arlington through its investments in tech talent and the overall community, making Arlington County an excellent place to live and work,” said Telly Tucker, Director of Arlington Economic Development. “We are honored to work alongside Boeing and look forward to that continuing partnership as the home for its global headquarters.”
