Arlington Talent Pilot Program Welcomes First Participants

Leaders from around Arlington’s business community gathered in late August for the official launch of the Arlington Talent Pilot Program, a collaboration between AED and Arlington-based Exelaration, a leading tech and engineering internship provider in the U.S.

The program will provide 10 Arlingtonians with the training and networking needed to succeed in the region’s growing tech sector. The first five participants, who range from an ROTC student to a finance major and others, were announced at the launch on August 25 and begin their training this month. They will join the Exelaration team full-time for 12-20 weeks to learn from experts about a career in the tech sector.

Through this program, participants work with Exelaration’s expert tech consultants on real client projects to learn skills in software development, testing and more.

Following program completion, participants will be highly equipped to pursue a long-term career in the tech field. The next five participants in the pilot will begin their training in 2023. The program is funded through ARPA dollars.
