Arlington County has commissioned MGT Consulting to conduct a disparity study to determine the impact of the County's procurement process by examining how it does business with firms in the marketplace. This research study will determine whether there is racial and/or gender identity business discrimination in the markets in which Arlington County does business – both public and private sectors with a focus on small, women-owned, minority-owned, and service-disabled veteran-owned (SWaMDV) businesses who conduct business within the Arlington region. We understand that this may be a difficult topic to discuss, however, your feedback is important to address any identified disparities in Arlington County contracting for diverse business owners.
MGT Consulting is hosting and facilitating business information sessions with businesses to introduce the study objectives and listen to businesses’ experiences doing business on Arlington County contracts, and if you have experienced any discrimination in contracting with the County or their primes. This is a great opportunity to provide feedback and suggest recommendations for the County’s procurement process and ways to elevate economic equity in the marketplace. In addition, your information is aggregated for the overall analysis and used only to conduct this study.
