Diversity, collaboration, community and innovation took center stage at the recent Minority Vendor Showcase, a collaborative effort between Arlington Economic Development’s BizLaunch division and Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National Airport. This vibrant event echoed Arlington Economic Development's mission to foster a healthy business community and maintain Arlington's exceptional quality of life.

Local Gems:

Two local businesses illuminated the showcase with their offerings: Puppy Luv and Live Wellness Group. Puppy Luv offers several helpful pet services across the DMV. Live Wellness Group curates engaging programming centered around holistic health and wellness for all communities.

Regional Flair:

Local standouts weren’t the only businesses present at the Showcase. Several businesses from the DMV region trekked just over the bridge or the beltway to participate in the Showcase, including Island Bwoy, a Temple Hills, Md.-based company serving up Caribbean flavors and cuisine, and Pecandy, an Alexandria-based company specializing in gourmet flavored candied pecans made in small batches.

Distant Flavors:

The Showcase also welcomed businesses from afar. Two standout businesses were Campfire Coffee, hailing all the way from Tacoma, Wash. and Harlem Chocolate Factory from Harlem, NY — both offering classic favorites (coffee and chocolate) with modern twists. Campfire, for example, roasts all its coffee beans over open campfire, and Harlem Chocolate Factory offers “the essence of Harlem in every bite.”

Community Collaboration:

With 222 attendees and 65 vendors, the Minority Vendor Showcase exemplified the power of partnerships in driving sustained business growth and positive community impact.

As we celebrate the success of the Minority Vendor Showcase, let us continue to champion diversity, innovation, and collaboration, ensuring that Arlington remains a beacon of economic prosperity and inclusivity for all. Stay tuned for additional stories and highlights from this year’s Showcase.
