Onward Arlington – Reopening Safely During the Era of COVID-19

As communities across the United States begin to strategically reopen, local governments and small business owners recognize the need to have appropriate safety measures in place for their community, customers and employees. Living during the era of a pandemic places the importance of safety on the forefront of everyone’s mind.

BizLaunch, in partnership with the Arlington Restaurant Initiative (ARI), will host an interactive Onward Arlington webinar as part of a series to provide information about mandatory requirements for Phase One; highlight best practices for the health and safety of customers and employees; and explain the process for applying for temporary outdoor seating areas. At the end of this webinar, you will understand the key factors to keep in mind for small businesses who enter “Phase One” of Forward Virginia

Attendees will hear from a cross-departmental team of experts from Arlington County, as well as a representative from VABC, and learn:

  • An Overview of Phase One
  • Mandatory Requirements for All Industries
  • Safety Recommendations for Retailers and Restaurants
  • Capacity Requirements Under Phase One
  • Temporary Outdoor Seating Areas for Restaurants
  • Resources Available to Help Small Businesses Adjust

More information about the Temporary Outdoor Seating Area permit (TOSA) including the application can be found online
