Commuting During a Pandemic: Regional Transportation Outlook

As the region continues to work through the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, companies are looking at strategies to get some of their employees back into the workplace. In a region that relies heavily on public transportation, can employers confidently turn to these systems to get employees into the workplace, or are we confined to remote work and vehicle commutes for the foreseeable future?

As companies across the region grapple with this new reality, it is important to understand what the local transportation authorities are doing to enhance safety and how they are communicating with one another about these initiatives. What can companies and employees expect when they use public transportation and what can we learn from the way other cities across the US and world are handling this issue?
