What You Need to Know About BizLaunch

BizLaunch is the small business and entrepreneurial division of Arlington Economic Development (AED), and we are here to help you start and grow your small business in Arlington, and the D.C.-metro area.

Think you know BizLaunch? Well you may be surprised to learn how much we do for you. As an entrepreneur, here are four important things you should know about us:

  • Jack-of-all-trades: In English and in Spanish, we provides entrepreneurs and small business owners with one-on-one business consultations, year-round seminars and workshops, webinars on-demand and networking opportunities in different areas such as legal, financial and marketing. In our “spare time,” we are actively engaging our small business community, entrepreneurs and partners on Twitter, and Facebook. If you have “fear of missing out” (#FOMO), sign-up for our weekly events emails and follow us online at @AEDBizLaunch or @BizLaunchenEsp.

  • Team Players: We are an active member of the BizTeam – the interdepartmental team of senior-level staff from the numerous agencies involved in the regulatory process. As part of the team, we guide and advise you on any issue or concern you may have about your small business. Ideally, we recommended that you meet with the BizTeam prior to launching your business to get a clearer sense of the regulatory expectations and guidelines involved in opening a business in Arlington. Nevertheless, the BizTeam is a valuable resource for small businesses that encounter unanticipated regulatory issues. If you are interested in speaking with BizTeam representatives, contact BizLaunch to discuss your situation and we will put you in touch with the best person to help you succeed.

  • Partner with the Best: We collaborate very closely with SCORE – the nonprofit that mentors and educates entrepreneurs. Our expertise in the field of small business is well complemented by the 4 subject-matter experts who are knowledgeable about a variety of topics and industries (see below). If you are interested in meeting with a SCORE counselor in our Ballston office, schedule your appointment today.
