Another exciting day for Arlington's technology community, as Governor McAuliffe announced that shopping app Basket was relocating from D.C. to Arlington's Clarendon neighborhood. The company's bright new office space was packed as the Governor announced a Commonwealth Opportunity Fund grant to help the fast-growing company, which is expected to bring 65 new tech jobs to Arlington.
Basket is a shopping app designed to make sure consumers get the best price for the grocery and household items they need. Simply open Basket, share a shopping list, and the app does the rest, crunching millions of local prices for your favorite grocery and everyday products at the stores you love. You’ll know not only which store has the best choices for your current shopping trip, but how much you’ll pay before you go...sometimes helping consumers save up to 60%.
