"Arlington County is the hottest county in the USA!"
So said VA Governor Terry McAuliffe as he helped to welcome communications technology company Phone2Action to Arlington's Rosslyn neighborhood. And he wasn't talking about the temperatures, even if it was a rather sultry July evening. He's talking about the wealth of opportunity and resources for technology companies just like Phone2Action, which made the decision to relocate to Arlington from downtown D.C.
"We are thrilled to accept the invitation of Virginia to bring our headquarters to this dynamic state, said Ximena Hartstock, Founder and CEO of Phone2Action. “Virginia and Arlington attract a top-notch talent pool that our company needs to continue leading the digital transformation of advocacy. Virginia's investment package and business-friendly ecosystem demonstrate understanding of the kind of support high-growth tech companies need to thrive. We are proud to be part of the transformation of Rosslyn into a smart city and in helping it become the technology hub of the east coast."
Phone2Action is the latest company to make the switch to Arlington because of the county's skilled workforce and commitment to the tech sector. It's part of Arlington's concentrated effort to diversify its economy and become a hub for disruptive technology companies just like Phone2Action, which is expected to bring approximately 140 new jobs to Arlington with its arrival. The company has already invested in the future of its company in Northern Virginia by providing paid fellowships to three students at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and offering internships to students at the school. The company also recently closed on $4 million in a round of Series A funding.
We couldn't be prouder to welcome Phone2Action as our partner and neighbor in Arlington!
