Arlington to Welcome D.C. Culinary Icon

If you have not heard… the iconic Ben’s Chili Bowl is moving to Arlington, Virginia. We are extremely excited to welcome Ben’s and his famous “half-smokes” to the Arlington community. With such a rich history as well as celebrity following that includes President Obama, Bill Cosby, Larry King, Chris Rock, Bono and many others, Ben’s Chili Bowl will bring that same richness to Arlington County.

Ben’s Chili Bowl owners plan to open two separate locations in Arlington. The first will be located in Rosslyn. Each Ben’s location has an active online presence and a loyal following of customers. The soon-to-open Rosslyn location’s blog posted:

“With all of the love and support that DC residents have shown us spanning the decades, we are very conscious and thankful for those customers that drive in from Maryland and those that cross the bridges from Virginia to come to Ben’s. In our efforts to bring the food and experience that you come to U St for closer to you, we have decided to cross the bridge ourselves and bring a Ben’s Chili Bowl to you in Rosslyn. We are excited about working with Arlington County and we look forward to opening in early 2014. Thanks for your well wishes and your continued support and blessings.”

Ben’s Chili Bowl will also soon welcome travelers heading into and out of Arlington via Reagan National Airport. The airport Ben’s staff blogged:

“This location will be just to the right of Terminal B (the center terminal) and will be pre-security so regardless of what airline you are flying or if you are taking a trip at all, everyone will have access to Ben’s Chili Bowl at National Airport. And we will have plenty of seats for customers to dine-in as well as carry-out that can go through security and be carried on the plane.”

What a fantastic win for Arlington County! Welcome, Ben’s Chili Bowl!
