Numerous Arlington companies were among those honored by DC Inno in its annual “50 on Fire” competition, which recognizes companies, CEOs, startups and entrepreneurs that are driving the District's innovation economy.
A total of 150 companies and organizations were named as nominees earlier this fall in the 50 on Fire competition in a variety of categories. Finalists were judged on their impact to the region’s economy, innovation and other factors.
Arlington winners included cove and Mitchell Schear of Vornado/Charles E. Smith in the Civic (Smart City) category; Eastern Foundry and Gary Shapiro of Consumer Technology Association (formerly CEA) in the Government & Advocacy category; Evolent Health in the Healthcare & Medicine category; LMO Advertising in the Marketing & Advertising category; and Distil Networks and Invincea in the Technology category.
Arlington Economic Development was a sponsor for the competition.
