Spanning five miles from East Falls Church to Rosslyn, Lee Highway is one of Arlington’s main east-west corridors with 1.1 million SF of commercial space and over 40,000 residents. These residents tend to skew older and wealthier than the County at large, as nearly 40% are between 40-69 and the median household income triples the national mark. Serving the northern half of Arlington, the retail offerings reflect these characteristics and primarily target the neighborhood trade area with an emphasis on casual dining, home goods, international and traditional grocery, personal services, and upscale specialty shops.
While several small developments have taken place in recent years, the County is setting the stage for future public and private investment through a multi-year planning study that began in early 2019.
